Domain Related

After you have an ISP connection, buy a domain name.

Check http://www.domainnamebuyersguide.com for the Registrar's rating and contract warnings.

Domain Registration is done by the InterNic

(http://www.internic.net or http://www.networksolutions.com)

or by one of the many certified registrars

(see http://www.internic.net/regist.html)

Use a registrar, that allows you to own the Domain Name AND allows you to configure the DNS entries yourself.

Once you register, you can setup your domain.
